New York, NY

NYCxDESIGN will take place May 14–20, bringing New York City’s official design week across the five boroughs. The 2026 festival is expected to include more than 250 events over seven days, highlighting the city’s broad design community through exhibitions, talks, tours, installations, and creative programming tied to architecture, interiors, product design, technology, art, and more.

The festival’s theme, “Design Connects Us,” gives this year’s edition a broad framework, focusing on the ways design links people, neighborhoods, industries, and ideas. Rather than centering on one venue, NYCxDESIGN unfolds across the city, making the week feel as much like an exploration of the city’s creative landscape as a formal design festival.

The official Opening Party will take place May 14 at Halo at 28 Pine Street in Downtown Manhattan, marking the start of the week’s programming. From there, the schedule expands into a mix of public-facing events and industry-focused gatherings, with highlights expected to include keynotes, tours, international spotlights, and NYCxDESIGN’s annual exhibition platform.

For design professionals, the festival offers a concentrated look at the ideas shaping architecture, interiors, product design, and the built environment. For a wider audience, it offers a more accessible way into the design world, with events that show how design influences the spaces people live in, the objects they use, and the neighborhoods they move through every day.

With hundreds of events spread across the city, NYCxDESIGN remains one of New York’s major creative gatherings of the spring. Tickets, event listings, and programming updates are available through the official NYCxDESIGN website.
