The Texas Children’s Houston Open is scheduled for March 26–29 at Memorial Park Golf Course, bringing tournament golf back to a setting that feels distinctly Houston: a major event staged on a public course in the middle of the city.
The 2026 field has early commitments that give the week immediate shape. Min Woo Lee is slated to return as the defending champion, and the tournament has also announced commitments from Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler, adding recognizable names and different fan followings to the mix. Lee’s 2025 win at Memorial Park was his first PGA TOUR title, a result that helped cement the event’s post-move identity at this venue.
Memorial Park itself is part of what the tournament is known for. It’s a par-70 course that runs through a heavily used urban park, and it was rebuilt for top-level competition through a renovation led by architect Tom Doak, with Brooks Koepka serving as a player consultant. Now, the walk-and-watch experience is as much the draw as any one signature hole—fans can settle into a spot for a stretch, then keep moving as groups come through.

The event also functions as a civic moment for the park. The Memorial Park Conservancy expects about 15,000 visitors per day during tournament play, and access and parking operations will shift accordingly during the tournament dates.
Tournament days work well as either a single-afternoon plan or a two-visit weekend: earlier sessions tend to be easier for moving around the course, while later play draws larger crowds toward the finishing stretch.
