Price: $1,995,000

Location: 104 Heritage Drive, Bozeman, MT 59715

At 104 Heritage Drive, one of the home’s most distinctive features predates its later updates. The residence was designed and built in 1978 by Clair W. Daines, a Hall of Fame homebuilder whose work helped shape residential development across the Gallatin Valley.

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom property spans nearly 4,000 square feet on 0.93 acres, with Bird Spring Creek passing through the rear of the lot.

Hardwood flooring, exposed beams, and vaulted spaces remain among the architectural details tied to the home’s original design. Much of the main level is organized around shared living and entertaining spaces.

The kitchen includes extensive counter space, a prep sink, and two dishwashers, while a nearby butler’s pantry adds a second oven. A separate office and dedicated laundry area provide additional practical space.

The primary suite pairs a vaulted, beamed ceiling with a renovated bathroom featuring dual vanities, a freestanding soaking tub, an oversized tiled shower with two shower heads, and a private water closet. Radiant floor heating and two air-conditioning systems address Bozeman’s changing temperatures throughout the year.

Downstairs, a finished lower level adds another family room, bedroom, and full bathroom, giving the home additional flexibility for guests or extended family.

The grounds are defined by mature plantings, outdoor living areas, and the creek at the back of the property. Along with city water service, the home has a private irrigation well used for the landscaping.

Downtown Bozeman and Montana State University are both a short drive away, while the broader Gallatin Valley offers access to skiing, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor recreation.

Daines died in April 2026 at age 86 after a long career building homes in the Bozeman area. At Heritage Drive, elements of his original 1978 design remain visible within a residence that has continued to evolve over time.
